We prioritize the privacy of our visitors and users here at 3schools Creator. This Privacy Policy document contains types of information that is collected and recorded by the 3schools Creator (also referred to as Thumbnail Maker & YT Creator) and how we use it.

Summary of Architecture: The 3schools Creator functions as a Client-Side Application. We do not own a backend server to store your personal data. Your data (chat history, channel statistics, scripts) is stored locally on your device or synchronized directly to your personal Google Drive.

1. Information We Collect

A. Google User Data (via OAuth)

When you sign in using your Google Account, we request access to the following scopes:

  • Basic Profile: Name, Email Address, and Profile Picture (to display in the UI).
  • Google Drive (File Scope): To create and manage specific folder named YT Creator OS & Thumbnail Maker by 3schools where your application data is saved.
  • YouTube Analytics & Data: To fetch your channel statistics (Subscriber count, view counts) and public competitor video data for the analysis features.

B. Local Browser Data

We store the following information in your browser's LocalStorage:

  • API Keys: If you provide your own API keys (e.g., Google Gemini, Groq, OpenRouter), they are saved securely in your browser's local storage. They are never sent to our servers.
  • Session Tokens: OAuth tokens required to keep you logged in with Google services.
  • Preferences: UI settings such as theme or active tab selection.

C. Log Files

Like many other websites, we use standard log files on our hosting server (Blogger/Google). These files log visitors when they visit websites. The information collected includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks.

2. How We Use Your Information

To Provide Service Functionality

  • Syncing Data: We use the Google Drive API to save your scripts, chat history, and competitor analysis to your personal Google Drive so you can access them across devices.
  • Analysis: We use the YouTube Data API to fetch video metrics to populate the "Strategy" and "Competitor Analysis" dashboards.
  • AI Generation: Content you input into the chat (prompts) is sent directly from your browser to the AI Provider you selected (Google Gemini, Groq, or OpenRouter) to generate responses.

To Improve User Experience

We use non-personally identifiable analytics (cookies) to understand how users interact with the tool interface, allowing us to improve layout and performance.

3. Data Storage and Security

Zero-Knowledge Architecture

We operate on a "Zero-Knowledge" principle regarding your creative work:

  • We do not have a database to view your scripts, strategies, or chat history.
  • Your files reside solely in your Google Drive and your browser cache.
  • If you clear your browser cache and delete the YT Creator OS folder from your Drive, all your application data is permanently erased.

Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures within the client-side code. However, because API keys are stored in your browser, you are responsible for keeping your device secure. We verify the identity of third-party API endpoints (like OpenAI or Google) before transmitting data.

4. Google API Limited Use Disclosure

The 3schools Creator Tool's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Affirmative Statement on AI/ML: The use of raw or derived user data received from Workspace APIs (Google Drive) will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We explicitly affirm that we do not use Google Workspace user data to train, improve, or create generalized AI and/or ML models.

5. Sharing Your Information

Third-Party AI Models (Inference Only)

To provide features such as "Strategy Analysis," "Script Writing," and "Competitor Analysis," specific data is transmitted to the AI Provider you have selected in your settings (Google Gemini, Groq, or OpenRouter).

The data sent includes:

  • User Inputs: Text prompts and instructions you type into the chat.
  • YouTube Data: Public video metadata (Titles, Descriptions, Tags, View Counts etc.) from your synced channel or competitors you added.

Provider Policies & Data Training

Since this application functions on a "Bring Your Own Key" (BYOK) model, the data transmission is governed by the agreement between You (the user) and the AI Provider.

We send this data strictly for inference (analysis) purposes.

We do not store this data on our servers, nor do we use it to train our own models.

No Sale of Data

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal identification information to others.

6. Third-Party Links and Payments

Our tool allows you to add third-party payment links (like Gumroad, Patreon, or Stripe) to sell your templates. We are not involved in these transactions and do not process or store financial data. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party sites.

7. Children's Privacy

Our tool does not aim to attract or target individuals under the age of 13. We do not intentionally gather personal information from children under 13 years old. If we come to know that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will verify and delete such data from our records (though technically, we do not hold records of users).

We reserve the right to modify or update this Privacy Policy at any time. Modifications will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the tool implies acceptance of the updated policy.
